Of all the things we love about Mandara, the #1 would probably be the exterior design of the house itself. The sliding glass doors and big windows let you soak in as much natural light as possible while giving you 10/10 view of the hillside and the evergreen beauty of Janda Baik.
The entire villa sleeps 7 and will be a perfect hideaway for you and your group. Plus point is it’s near to a number of local eateries! Even though it’s pretty new, Mandara has gotten the seal of approval from a lot of their guests, so we, too, won’t hesitate on this one 😉

2. Charis Janda Baik Villas
Three spacious villas are available, two of which come with their own private pool! Villa 1 has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, while Villa 2 has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Besides the sizeable pool, guests will no doubt admire the minimal but tasteful furnishings, and it’ll be a great place to enjoy your getaway within this private setting.
To note, their third villa (Villa 3) accommodates 4 people and while it doesn’t have a private pool, guests would have access to a man-made pool and river which is also accessible by to the other villas.

3. Have2 Private Villa
Newly opened to the public in December 2019, we love how this villa screams ‘family time!’ or even ‘birthday trip with friends!’, thanks to their party-ready amenities; private pool, audio system, outdoor seating, barbeque sets, and even on-site fishing pond!
The villa fits up to 20 pax, and it’s a dream to be spending the weekend here. Not only is the villa spacious and airy, but it is also tastefully decorated to give you the homely feels. It has 5-star reviews from visitors to date, so they must be doing something right!

4. Embun Luxury Villas
At Embun Luxury Villa, you can choose your villas based on the view that you wish to wake up to; rainforest or the pool. Either way, when you leave your room, you still get the best of both worlds!

Intan Payung is the hideaway in nature you’re looking for. Comprising of two cottages sitting on a private estate surrounded by lush greenery, a river stream and a private pool, it’s the perfect location for your next family or friends getaway, able to accommodate up to 15 people!

6. Rest. Pause Rainforest Retreat villa
Continuing our list of nature resorts in Janda Baik is Rest. Pause Rainforest Retreat. In this relaxing retreat, you can while away the hours just soaking in the beautiful nature views and fresh air. This 4-bedroom accommodation is fully self-contained with 2 living areas, 4 bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms and an indoor and outdoor kitchen.
It can accommodate 15 people comfortably, and up to 20 people max. Breakfast is provided on the verandah daily, and there are facilities like a reading nook, DVDs and a stream that runs near the house.

7. Tiarasa Escapes
Glamping is a portmanteau of ‘glamorous’ and ‘camping’, and Tiarasa Escapes know what they are doing when they first built this campers’ haven. You can choose between the tents or the treehouse. Each unit is spacious in its way, and best of all, you get to immerse in the natural elements throughout the landscape of Tiarasa Escapes.
Activities are aplenty here at any time of the day, fit for the whole family. From bird-watching to watching movies under the stars. At night, it’s nice to just sit back after a private BBQ (offered in-house but priced separately from the villa) and listen to the chorus of insects right outside the tents. Bonfire roast is held nightly, so whether it’s marshmallows, chicken wings or sausages that you prefer, it’s easy to bask in nature at the comfort of high-end accommodation whenever you’re here 🥰

8. Twinkle Villa
Twinkle Villa is actually a compound made up of 4 houses – Cengal House, Gaharu House, Resak House and Meranti House. All the houses provide a wonderful stay within Janda Baik’s beautiful nature, but the standout gem has to be Cengal House.
Winner of the Malaysian Institute of Architect’s Gold Award for Building Of The Year in 2017, it’s a beautifully constructed house that’ll catch your eye immediately. Cengal House has 4 rooms that can accommodate 12 people in total. If the house looks large, that’s because it is! It also houses a gallery, a rooftop garden and a large entryway. 9. Enderong Resort
One of the things unique about Enderong Resort is that it’s a highland nature retreat and situated 2000 feet above sea level in Tanarimba, an award-winning green project in Janda Baik, Pahang! Expect to feel the cool mountain breeze to kiss your cheeks as you travel around the resort and there’s a swimming pool set amidst the lush natural surroundings of Enderong Valley!

10. Happi Village
Happi Village is less than an hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur, so it’s not too far from the city, but definitely far enough from the hustle and bustle of city life. Temperatures here are much cooler than the city, so combine such pleasant climate with the surrounding virgin rainforest producing refreshing air, and it feels like heaven on earth, literally. 🤩 They only have 11 rooms which run out pretty fast, so you should definitely book in advance to avoid disappointment. 😰
The iconic part of the room, and the most Instagrammable place that pops up all over social media is their outdoor bathtub. Bask in scenic views of the lush, serene greenery, while you have a relaxing soak! Don’t worry, the bathtub area is surrounded by a garden so you’ll have maximum privacy! 🤗
